Thanks for the guide but I guess I'm an ultimate newb for not even understanding this.

I'm up to the 3rd step, and I don't understand what to do. I don't understand the charts, and what I exactly have to do/look for.

If you need any info I have so far, I have a Samsung drive and ms25. Please help!

u need a via 6421 sata chip set m8

my computer/manage/device manager/scsi and raid controller

right click on my computer then click on manage then click on device manager then the (+) next to scsi and raid controllersÂÂƚÂÂ*ÂÂÂÂÂ*à ƒÆ’ƒâ€šÃ‚ÂÂÂ*ÃÆ⠀™ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ÂÂ* it will tell u there what chip set u have

if u dont have that chip set u can buy a via 6421 sata pci card from ebay or any good stores on the net

Hello all, new to the forum and to Xbox 360's. Have a few *other* special units but this is my first Xbox 360. So I'm learning as I go. Been doing a LOT of reading so far and have a few questions... But you knew that correct.

I'm reading and playing around with my burner support bitsetting. But when I use the mentioned above program and click on the +RW button I get the message "Drive does not support bitsetting" Is there a way around this or do I have to buy a new burner? I have a Plextor PX-760. Thanks..... more questions to follow..LMAO..

i believe the newer software doesn't need bitsetting, tpepsiman will confirm this im sure

Sorry if this isn't the place for these questions.. Please direct me but while I'm here I'll continue. I burned a a known good image of a game.... I used Nero and burned at 2.5 speed on a Memorex DL Disc. When I place the game in the console it says unrecognizable disc or something like that.

I will be buying Verbatim DL for my games and will now use Imgburn to make them after all of my reading here. I'm trying to find out what firmware is on my unit as I purchased it premodded. Have a email in now. Do you think its because I used memorex and used Nero? I thought maybe it was the bitsetting thing. Thanks for any help.....

Hey tpepsiman, do you have an email address or something? I want to learn more about the pci cards and understand them more. I don't know much and don't know what p&p is, so I don't want to get screwed over and buy something that doesn't work or I get ripped off.

Also, how do I install that? Is it easy?

the pci card is simply slotted into a spare pc slot in your desktop, look on ebay for a via VT6421L or via VT6421A, it should cost no more than $20 inc p&p
