iprep V008 ***Before attempting anything in this guide please make sure to read through it a few times as some steps are carried out in dos. If you do not understand any part of this or have questions please ask them before attempting in the following thread: [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] What you need - [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] - usb Flash drive - [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] - Optional, plus Probe only needed for Liteon - [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] - [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] -------------------------- Start iprep 101 and check for updates before anything else. Source firmware step 1: load in the firmware you need samsung, benq, & Lite-on. If the latest firmware will not load (currently 1.51), exit iprep, download [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] then navigate to C:\Program files\iprep\resources and paste it into the folder replacing the existing file of the same name. Then restart iprep and try again. [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] Sata controller step 2: Select the via card & drive port. ("Port" only for lite-on drive) [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] Target Device step 3: Select the usb device & tick "format\make bootable" & "Include Batch Files". [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] Then click Start Once its finished open the "usb device" (my pen drive pic below) [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] [NOTE]Should look same as mine if not some thing is wrong. (Post in iprep help thread) [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] ---------------------------------------------- Flashing/reading the drives ---------------------------------------------- When connecting your drive to your pc make sure to use the port marked in the picture below. [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] More info on drive connection is in the following thread: [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] *** In the following replace 1234567 12345 with your consoles serial number found on the back of your xbox or in system info*** READING BENQ - Boot "usb Device" (will see iprep welcome screen) - Type: "Dben 1234567 12345" press enter\return. - Select yes then press enter\return. - Select the number your drive is on. - Select yes then press enter\return. (You may need to turn drive off\on here) - Select [R]-Read then name of samofw.bin press enter\return. (should see success message) ***If this is the first time you have flashed the drive you should now boot back into windows and copy the firmware file out of the iprep backups folder and keep it somewhere safe*** FLASHING BENQ - Boot "usb Device" (will see iprep welcome screen) - Type: "Fben 1234567 12345" press enter\return. - Select yes then press enter\return. - Select the number your drive is on. - Select yes then press enter\return. (U may need to turn drive off\on here) - Select [W]-write then name of samofw.bin press enter\return. (once done test the drive with a backup) ------------------------------------------------- READING SAMSUNG - Boot "usb Device" (will see iprep welcome screen) - Type: "Dsam 1234567 12345" press enter\return. - Select yes then press enter\return. - Select the number your drive is on. - Select yes then press enter\return. (U may need to turn drive off\on here) - Select [R]-write then name of samofw.bin press enter\return. (should see success message) ***If this is the first time you have flashed the drive you should now boot back into windows and copy the firmware file out of the iprep backups folder and keep it somewhere safe*** FLASHING SAMSUNG - Type: "fsam 1234567 12345" press enter\return. - Select yes then press enter\return. - Select the number your drive is on. - Select yes then press enter\return. (U may need to turn drive off\on here) - Select [W]-write then name of samofw.bin press enter\return. (once done test the drive with a backup) ----------------------- READING LITE-ON - Boot "usb Device" (will see iprep welcome screen) - Type: "Dlit 1234567 12345" press enter\return. (Follow all on screen instructions) ***If this is the first time you have flashed the drive you should now boot back into windows and copy the firmware file out of the iprep backups folder and keep it somewhere safe*** [NOTE] If you alredy have your ix firmware ready with all correct key and so on inserted you can start here. ok i have read so many tut's today im confused.

If you have a Via card i'd go for iprep (if you use jungleflasher remember to delete the viamraid.sys and instal portio) but its all down to personal preference ab. Used both but i still prefer iprep. No crashing or freezing problems, however i deleted the above file and tried jungle a few times and it ran sweet. I tend to dump with iprep, check the key with jungleflasher then finish the flash off with iprep (bit long winded i know as jungleflasher could do the lot but i still like iprep) Suppose it's down to you preferring either dos or windows ui.

yip, you can only use the r232 serial cable with iprep but jungle supports serial and usb. don't know why but i just don't trust the ck3 usb with flashing. mind i ended up buying the lite version so usb is out of the window anyway..lol
unless its been flashed already then jungle doesn't need to redump it again and sends the data through the sata lead. but in that case i normally build the firmware with jungle and still finish the flash off with the flit command. im just wondering because ive seen tutorials
but after you read the drive dont you erase before you flash just dont get why this tutorial never mensions erase for the lite-on or any others insted it goes straight into writeing the firmware Notice: This Ad only show to guest, please register now to disappear ! |
