I got one question: my Xbox 360 is already flashed with ixtreme 1.2, so could I overwrite my custom firmware with ixtreme 1.6? I still have the original firmware on a thumb drive. Could I use flash the original firmware over 1.6 if I needed too?

Yes you can upgrade the drive. (Flash over older hacked firmware)
Better to restore first but not needed. & yes you can restore the drive. (Restore the drive with original firmware) look at my vids on youtube i'm sure i posted "restoring the drive" & "Updating the drive" . (jungleflasher will do every thing but open the 360 & connect the drive to your pc) "you'll need todo that lol" ;) Notice: This Ad only show to guest, please register now to disappear !

What's a 0800 disc? Does it need to be in my Xbox 360? Because my PC that has the sata port does not have a cd-rom/dvd drive. And where do I download the files for a 0800 disc?
EDIT: I have a laptop with a dvd burner, but my PC, with the sata port, does have that. So I could make and use the disc in my Xbox 360. Notice: This Ad only show to guest, please register now to disappear ! Last edited by b33eazy; 07-02-2009 at 08:02 PM. |

The 0800 disc aka "Activate ISO" is whats used to get a Samsung already flashed with Ixtreme acknowledged by Windows, its burnt to a Dual Layer disc and played in the drive after which "Jungleflasher" etc will be able to modify it.It comes as part of the "Ixtreme 1.6" Rar package but if you hane ANY of the other manfacturers OR the Samsung has factory FW (or is flashed with the older "Extreme" FW by Gary Opa/C4E ) then it is unnecessary. If your Iprep savvy (or if not) then you can just do the lot in dos but id say stick with Iprep006 with "ixtreme 1.6" xml as i find the more modern incarnations of Iprep are a nightmare to get Ms28s/hacked Sammys detected but im sure T.P. or someone mentioned why that was but forgot now???
Nice guide by the way T.P. very smart. Notice: This Ad only show to guest, please register now to disappear ! Last edited by ddsdavey; 07-02-2009 at 08:32 PM. |

^ I have my original firmware, and I have a ms25 samsung drive. Could I just erase my drive (hacked fw), use my original fw (on my thumb drive), and make a custom fw with that, then flash it to my ms25 drive? Also, how would I do that? Do I just select erase? Then I copy my original fw to my PC and mix it with ixtreme 1.6?

Make new firmware. then flash firmware to the drive.
its that easy mate. (you can erase the drive but its not needed) Prosses: get drive connected and showing. If its a stock drive you need to click "Sammy unlock" then "yes" (With 0800 iso in 360 drive) If the drive it flashed with ixtreme 1.5 or above. Click "Intro/Device id" (With tray harf open) once you have the drive showing. jump to firmtool tab open source firmware. (orignal firmware) open target firmware. (Ixtreme firmware) Click "spoof source to target" Then Click "save to file". save your hacked firmware to desktop or any where you want. jump back to mtkflash tab make sure the drive is still showing & click "Write". once its finished Click "outro\ata reset" Turn off drive & test with a backup. Thanks! It worked just like you said. I got a little scared when I saw a red light, but it works great!
EDIT: UFC '09 cut-scenes are out-of-sync, though. Is that normal? Notice: This Ad only show to guest, please register now to disappear ! Last edited by b33eazy; 07-03-2009 at 11:38 AM. |
