well theres several things, first is always conky, gives you stats an shit while its running, then for docks theres a couple that are ok,

avant window mananger (i think it was called) is good, but a bit buggy
cairo dock is very good,
and im just about to reformat and test gnome-do

a dock bar looks much better on smaller screens imo

I guess by now you've got it going. I finally got a USB charged up thanks to [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] and my Aspire One suddenly came alive with a GOOD OS! Initially running live from the USB, I'm hoping to get their persistent USB offering (it stores user data on the stick too) onto the SSD so that the OS takes up less space than the current rather dopey-feeling 'Linpus' linux the AAO ships with.

How does it feel to be away from the MS red, white & blue? Ubuntu's certainly different in its very pretty in its boonga-boonga colours. The Netbook Remix screen layout is very usable on a narrow-gutted netbook.
